Island Park

Island Park is one of my favorite places in the FM area,

and the fall colors are absolutely gorgeous!

Medora, ND

 (I'll spare you all the typical "oh my, I haven't blogged in over two months!!!" stuff...)

Our family vacation to Medora, ND, was so much fun! It was neat to get out of the flatlands and actually have hills all over the place!

 Our first night we got to see the Medora Musical. A fantastic show!

Drive through Theodore Roosevelt National Park:

Got to see several buffalo on the drive! This was the closest we ever got, much to the relief of my mother!

Fireworks

Happy Independence Day!

My 4th of July was the awesome stereotypical 4th of July.

I ate hot dogs and ice cream, wore Red, White, and Blue,

and got to watch a great fireworks display!

Taking pictures of fireworks is an adventure for sure! :)

A Whole Lot of Ice Cream

Last weekend I was involved in a new World Record.

Oh Yeah.

I drove two and a half hours up to Cavalier, ND, to participate in their attempt to break the world record of the largest ice cream sundae. The plan? 2 blocks on Main Street, a couple dozen tables, and approximately 650 feet of gutter, lined with tin foil.
